OPERA ITALIANA NGO is a cultural and humanitarian association,  recognized by UNESCO for cultural and humanitarian activities in Bosnia, founded in 1992 by Michele Stochino Weiss, Italian government advisor, former chief of staff of the President of the Italian Senate, Mr. Marcello Pera, and by Angelo Andreatta  attorney at law, as well as the conductor Mo. Stefano Pellegrino.  The main purpose was in the very beginning to create musical events for humanitarian purposes below the artistic direction by Francesco Stochino Weiss. In 30 years of history, the business has developed a lot, and over 20 different productions have been made with 460 replicas on every continent. Great artists participated in the various projects of the group. Among these Andrea Bocelli, Josè Carreras, Monica Bellucci, Luciano Pavarotti, Zubhin Mehta, Ildiko Komlosi, Daniel Oren, Zucchero, Renata Scotto, Paul Young, I Madredeus, Lola Greco. Loorena Mc Kennit, Yu Long. Connected to the association to propose high-tech events in line with the times, there is a sector reality: 3D LIVEVLIVE, the technological structure that produces live events in 3D for culture.

 

NEVER ALONE EVENT

NEVER ALONE  EVENT - OPERA ITALIANA

 "You are not alone" is the title of a manifesto by "never alone" project that arises from a spontaneous, apolitical, non-denominational initiative, with the aim of giving a meaningful testimony, without any kind of partisan message, to the solidarity of the world of culture, under the conditions in to which tens of millions of women, including artists, are in grave danger for the Afghan situation, but also in other extremist countries.

The initiative is technically coordinated by Opera Italiana NGO does not have a leadership, in order to allow maximum diffusion and adhesion.

"I'm in" It is the message to be signed on the poster in a simple and direct way that encompasses all determination in solidarity in three words.

 

The "instant event" project consists of a tribute by great artists from many countries of the world, especially women, to the tormented populations of Afghanistan and other extremist-led countries. A television and social event will be promoted shortly, to support the courageous initiatives that many women in those countries carry out at the risk of their own lives and that of their children. All this is also a prodrome of a medium-term initiative to save the musical institutes in Kabul and other cities in Afghanistan, as well as female musical groups, such as the Kabul women's orchestra of which there is no more news.

 

COVID 19 EMERGENCY A UNIQUE EVENT FROM VENICE AND WUHAN

Sunday February 23, the day when Italy began to close the country in red areas, in full COVID 19 emergency, young people from the Wuhan and Venice concervatory wanted to make a contribution to mutual solidarity at that point. An event realized with the participation in Wuhan of 16 live singers, in extreme conditions.

REQUIEM FROM SARAJEVO - MEHTA CARRERAS GASDIA KOMLOSI RAIMONDI

Mozart's Requiem, broadcast live in 96 countries from the ruins of the Sarajevo library, marked the milestone of humanitarian events in crisis areas. Great artists, Zubin Mehta, Josè Carreras, Cecialia Gasdia, Ildiko Komlosi, Ruggero Raimondi, challenged the hundreds of grenades that tormented Sarajevo every day, to bear witness.

Verdi Requiem on the outskirts of Naples. A historic event, bringing music to the off-limits neighborhoods of Naples, controlled by the Camorra. A performance with an extraordinary cast: Luciano Pavarotti, Kellen Esperian, Dolora Zaijic Carlo Colombara, cunducted by Daniel Oren. An event broadcast by RAI in 30 countries around the world.
